2011 Committee Signup Info

Five committees were formed by the Board of Stewards to help determine the direction of the Co-op's activities. If you'd like to get involved in one of the committees, please contact a member of the Board of Stewards or someone in the store office. If there is a committee you would like to start, ask! We hope to form groups that represent our membership diversity. We welcome participation and focus on mutual respect.

The committees are:

♦ Planning & Improvement Committee - The Planning & Improvement Committee is currently involved with the Co-op's expansion project. The Planning Committee also deals with future long-term planning issues.

Management Committee - The Management Committee is responsible for conducting the General Manager's annual performance review, approving preliminary budgets, approving preliminary capital expenditure proposals, and monitoring employee compensation. They may work out details on proposals so that a summary plan of action may be presented to the rest of the Board of Stewards.

Outreach Committee - The goal of the Outreach Committee is to generate new business and to create community awareness concerning natural foods, through publicity and attendance of community events.

Personnel Committee - The Personnel Committee is responsible for reviewing the Co-op's Personnel Policy and proposing any changes to the rest of the Board of Stewards at the next Store Meeting.

Product Committee - The Product Committee is designed to monitor the quality of products we offer.
