Co-op Farmers Market with Box Turtle Bob

Shop the Co-op Farmers Market for the freshest local produce around. You will also find a diverse selection of plants and flowers, hand-made fine art and crafts and prepared foods.  Enjoy live music by Box Turtle Bob at 11am.

It started in 1970, with three weeks of "drum lessons"/band practice in the fallout shelter of a college dormitory. Since then, Rob Chirnside, a.k.a. Box Turtle Bob, has played in dozens of bands across the US and overseas. He plays drums, guitar, and harmonica; sings and writes songs; and has a couple CDs out. A lover of all musical styles, when the Boxturtle comes out of his shell, the musical mayhem begins.

The Co-op Farmers Market meets every Sunday from 10am - 2pm in the front parking lot of Newark Natural Foods.  It is a rain-or-shine event. Everything for sale is locally grown and/or made in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
