Newark Natural Foods Co-op invites you to join the Boards of Stewards. Together we can make a difference!

The nine-member Board of Stewards oversees policy and long-term planning. Our stewards, elected from the membership, meet at 7:00 pm on the third Thursday of every month.

Board members are elected to two-year terms at the annual membership meeting, held each fall. Five stewards are elected on odd-numbered years, four on even-numbered years to provide continuity. There are no term limits.

Requirements:
• Actively attend monthly Board of Stewards meetings
• Provide oversight and guidance to committees
• Be proactive for membership needs and concerns

Deadline: Friday, October 22, 2010 at 8:00pm at the store or via email to the Secretary

Please include a single page which documents why you'd like to run for the Board, your qualifications and any related experience. This information will be posted in the store and may be on the website. Candidates who do not want their information on the internet should notify the Secretary with their intent to run.
